Frugi Puddle Busters – Review

Like most two year olds, Alice loves to jump in puddles, kick through piles of leaves, run across bridges and twirl endlessly. And like most two years olds, her enthusiasm sometimes overtakes her balance, or grasp of physics, and plenty of muddy bottoms are the result. A pair of soggy trousers can quickly make a walk in the woods into a pretty miserable affair.

When I saw the Frugi Puddle Busters, I thought they would be perfect. I have loved plenty of other Frugi clothes in the past, and am a big fan of the brand. They are made from 100% recycled polyester, and come in several bright colours that compliment the rest of this seasons clothes. Alice is a little on the dinky side, and Frugi are fairly notorious for their generous sizing so I erred on the side of caution and chose the 1-2 year size. They are certainly roomy and with the bib straps on the shortest setting now she has plenty of room to grow.

They have neat little poppers on the side to prevent them from gaping but ensuring there is enough room for plenty of warm, snuggly layers underneath. The waterproof material feels thick and good quality but remains soft and allows generous movement. The addition of the reflective detail is a reassuring feature on foggy, gloomy autumn days, an especially nice feature for regular bike users. The elastic stirrups on the bottom ensure a snug grip around wellies and ensure no chilly gaps between footwear and trousers.  All together they are a fantastic product which I am delighted with, and I am sure they will get plenty of use this winter (and maybe next winter too!)
